Volvo signs supply agreement with H2 Green Steel

SwedenAB Volvo of Gothenburg, Sweden has announced it will begin procuring “near zero emission” steel from H2 Green Steel of Boden, Sweden for its trucks and buses starting in mid-2026. 

As part of the “First Movers Coalition”, the Volvo Group has committed itself to a target of 10% of its steel being “near zero emission” by 2030. As such, it has reached a supply agreement with the Boden-based startup for steel which is produced by burning green hydrogen instead of coal.
