Fuso introduces new eCanter in Indonesia

Fuso eCanter model launched in Indonesia at GIIAS

Indonesia / Chile / Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), headquartered in Kawasaki City in Japan’s Kanagawa Prefecture, continued the global roll out of the new all-electric eCanter truck with its introduction at last month’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Indonesia is the largest overseas market for the Fuso brand, with sales exceeding 36,000 units last year - mostly Canter light trucks.

MFTBC’s local distributor, PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) expects local deliveries of the new eCanter to begin in early 2024, initially targeting transportation companies in the greater Jakarta area where air pollution is a significant and growing concern. So far KTB has conducted customer trials with the previous generation eCanter, including with major logistics providers such as Trimitra Trans Persada (B-Log), Pos Indonesia and GoTo.
