VWCO delivers first eDelivery truck to Argentina

First VWCO eDelivery truck in Argentina
Argentina / Brazil - Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, has delivered, what it claims to be the first 100% electric truck in Argentina to logistics operator, Express Logística of Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes, at an event held at VW’s Distribution Center in Mercado Central. Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus says this represents an important step for itself and Cervecería y Maltería Quilmes, which is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.
The truck model delivered is the Volkswagen e-Delivery 14 tons 6x2, which is now in series production in Resende, Brazil. It is fitted with a 300kW electric motor offering 2,150Nm of torque for a range of up to 250km depending on the vehicle's configuration and application. Its three-stage regenerative braking can recover up to 40% of the energy used during braking and deceleration.
