Equipmake announces London double-decker bus repower deal at Busworld Europe

Belgium / UK – Equipmake Ltd of Snetterton, Norwich, UK, has been commissioned by the world’s largest sightseeing tour bus company, Big Bus Tours based in London, to repower (electrify) ten, double-deck open-top buses supporting the company’s path to zero-emissions, Jasmine Bishop, Head of Sales at Equipmake advised T&BB at Busworld Europe in Brussels this month.
The ten vehicles are all Ankai double-deckers, which will feature Equipmake’s zero-emission drivetrain and a 327-kWh capacity battery pack, providing a 193 km (120 miles) range. The first vehicle is scheduled to enter service in Q1, 2024.
