Belgium – At Busworld 2023, held between 7-12 October at the Brussels Expo, Unidad de Vehículos Industriales SA (UNVI) of Ourense, Spain presented a new battery electric midibus which is available to order today.

The ‘eC24s’ measures 7 metres in length by 2.55 metres in width and carries up to 41 passengers. Customers have the option of installing five or six batteries. With six, the bus can achieve a range of up to 280 kilometres, though this will drop down to about 250 kilometres when heating or air conditioning systems are in use. The vehicle shown at Busworld was fitted with batteries from BMZ, but UNVI has no exclusive supply agreement with any battery manufacturer as of yet.
