BYD receives order for 2,000 electric buses from Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan / China - BYD Co Ltd of Shenzhen, China has received an order from the Tashkent municipality, the capital of Uzbekistan, for an order of 2,000 K9UD electric buses, with the first 200 set to be delivered in the second half of 2024. The monetary value of the deal has not been disclosed.

The 12-metre-long electric bus has a capacity for 90 passengers and is equipped with a 422-kWh battery that provides a 450 km (279 miles) range on a single charge. Additionally, the vehicle allows for both plug-in conventional CCS (Combined Charging System) charging as well as pantograph charging.
