Dancer Bus at Busworld 2023

Belgium – At Busworld 2023, held between 7-12 October at the Brussels Expo, a new electric bus brand called ‘Dancer Bus’ was showcased by UAB Vėjo Projektai, a group of companies based in Klaipeda, Lithuania.1

The Lithuanian group presented a 12-metre battery electric bus (seating up to 34) with a distinctive aesthetic and material design. The front of the bus is arched, an aerodynamic design which makes the vehicle resemble a modern tram. The back of the bus is similarly arched, curving outwards towards the roof. The entire bus weighs 8.6 tonnes, thanks to a body and chassis made largely of composite materials and recycled plastics. Alina Michaliovienė, Head of EU projects and public procurements at Vėjo Projektai, told T&BB that the durable, anti-corrosion materials used in the bus have a thirty-year lifespan.
