Brazil - ZF do Brasil Ltda has manufactured its 100,000th six-speed 6S480 transmission at its plant in Sorocaba, São Paulo, where it has a dedicated assembly line, inaugurated in September 2016. The 6S480 is a six speed, synchronized, manual transmission for vans, trucks, minibuses and buses from 3.5 tons up to 7 tons gvw. It has an input torque capacity up to 480 Nm and features Hill Assist (ramp assistant), optimized shifting system that allows for greater gear change precision as well as gear identification.
