Pailton Engineering presents new steering systems at Busworld 2023

Belgium – At Busworld 2023, held between 7-12 October at the Brussels Expo, Pailton Engineering Ltd of Coventry, UK presented two new steering columns which prioritise driver comfort and health through ergonomic design.
A steering system with an electric steering column, now in its fourth prototype build, has been developed in partnership with Continental (dashboard electronics) and seating specialist Isringhausen. A tilting head steering column was developed by Pailton on its own for the latest ‘Citea’ buses by VDL. Pailton claims that the unique tilting head mechanism of the latter allows it to conform with the industry standard in every EU member state, making it the only product of its kind to offer such a high level of adjustability.
