Altas Auto announces plan to expand product range at Busworld

Belgium / Lithuania / China – At this past Busworld Europe event held in Brussels, Lithuanian minibus manufacturer, Altas Auto* (Altas komercinis transportas, UAB) based in Vilnius, announced plans to expand its EV product range with two new electric buses. On its stand, Altas Auto premiered a new-sized 7.5 metre 37 passenger capacity electric midibus, designed for narrow city streets difficult for conventional sized buses to maneuverer. A 7.7 metre 60 capacity midibus is planned for 2025.

In collaboration with Chinese bus builder, Zhongtong Bus Holding Company of Liaocheng, Shandong Province, Altas Auto announced plans to expand its product range over the next few years, aiming to go fully electric by 2030. The company will use the Chinese OEMs expertise in electric bus development to achieve this. The agreement was announced at Busworld Europe during the Altas Auto press conference.
