Eberspächer's new cover for bus HVAC units
Belgium / Germany / Switzerland – At Busworld Europe, the Eberspächer Group, a manufacturer of exhaust and thermal management products based in Esslingen am Neckar, Baden-Württemberg, debuted a new cover for bus air-conditioning (A/C) systems cover was made using natural fibre composite technology. The ampliTex technical fabric was supplied by Swiss cleantech company, Bcomp Ltd*. Eberspacher will allow potential customers to trial this product before series production in 2025. This will allow the company to see how the product performs in various climactic conditions.
According to Eberspacher, “the composite panels use a vynilester resin infusion with an in-mould transparent gelcoat finish” all resulting in the use of more sustainable materials. This is a part of the company’s wider strategy to enter into large-scale production of automotive interior parts.
