New OEM, Arthur Bus, excites the crowd at Busworld Europe with debut of its H2 Bus

Belgium / Germany / Poland – Last month at Busworld Europe in Brussels, new OEM Arthur Bus GmbH based in Munich, Germany, debuted a low-floor hydrogen-powered 12-metre fuel cell bus. Designed for urban-transport, the twelve and a half tonne vehicle can accommodate 78 passengers. Equipped with ZF front steer and AxTrax drive axles and 15 – 45 kWh traction batteries from Impact Clean Power, the bus is currently being tested in Germany. The vehicle is powered by a Ballard fuel cell offering an output ranging from 60 to 125 kW. Hexagon Purus has supplied the two 350 bar hydrogen tanks, each holding 37.5 kgs of hydrogen that provide a claimed range of 500 kilometres. The bus features advanced safety technology including Electronic Brake System (EBS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and a handbrake supplied by ZF-WABCO.
Members of the Arthur Bus team told T&BB that the company has one its first tender in Poland and it is now targeting series production at its plant in Wroclaw, Poland from October 2024.
