VECV delivers first 5.5t Eicher-branded electric truck

India – Commercial vehicle manufacturer, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur - the joint-venture subsidiary of Sweden’s Volvo AB and Eicher Motors Ltd of Gurugram (New Delhi), India – has delivery its first 5.5 ton gvw electric truck, the Eicher Pro 2055 EV to a company called Safexpress; this is coincidentally also the 100th Eicher truck model to be delivered in the current fiscal year to the operator.
The Eicher Pro 2055 EV has a gvw of 5.5t, a 4x2 axle configuration and is powered withby a 64kWh battery ranging upto 174km in a single charge. It has a wheelbase of 2670 mm and deck length of up to 3,660mm suitable for a wide number of applications.
