Lumax Industries' new greenfield production plant in Pune
India – Automotive lighting supplier, Lumax Industries Ltd of Pune, a subsidiary of the Lumax DK Jain Group, has started commercial operations at a new green field production site of lighting products for passenger cars and CVs in Chakan, district of Pune, and near to its current production facilities.
Lumax Industries explained that this is a strategic move to expand in response to its close monitoring of the electric vehicle (EV) market in Western India, and says it is anticipating a surge in demand for its products, as several OEMs, it says, are focusing heavily on the transition to electric vehicles.
