Serbia / Slovakia – Having already established its Serbian subsidiary (InoBat Auto Beograd in Bratislava), Slovakia-based battery manufacturer, InoBat Auto, has confirmed that its second Gigafactory will be built in Cuprija, Serbia. Codenamed Project Lion, the Gigafactory in Cuprija, will be aided with a Euro 419 million “incentive package” from the Serbian government. With the help of the Serbian government* in securing land and the necessary licences to build, the site is to be responsible for manufacturing and recycling of battery cells for EVs. This will support the Voderady R&D Gigafactory, currently under construction in Slovakia.
