Volvo lands its first heavy-duty electric truck deal in Brazil

Brazil - Volvo operate on different routes and the Brazilian operation has announced it has secured its first heavy-duty electric truck contract in Brazil. Five Volvo FM Electric trucks are to be leased by Volvo Rental to Reiter Lo Ltda of Santa Rita city, one of Brazil’s largest logistics operators.

Carlos Ribeiro, president of Volvo Financial Services in South America explained the leasing ‘truck-as-a service’ concept: “With electric trucks bringing new technology, the lease offers more flexibility for the customer to operate their freight without having to worry about maintenance and connectivity services, which included in the deal.” The lease includes the Volvo’s gold service plan (the brand's most complete service contract), connectivity services (Volvo Connect), 24-hour assistance (VOAR), and driver training and assistance.
