Thermo King Europe launches production of all-electric E-Series for vans

Belgium – Thermo King Europe of Zaventem, Flemish Brabant has launched a 100% electric version of its E-Series of refrigeration systems, designed for electric light commercial vehicles engaged in last mile delivery and urban distribution.
The ‘E-500e’ is powered directly by the vehicle battery and does not require additional investment in a dedicated battery or shore connection module. It will stay running even while the vehicle is stationary or recharging. A new high-speed compressor, with an RPM independent of the vehicles speed, offers an electric cooling capacity of up to 4.5kW.
