Nottingham receives first batch of battery electric buses from Pelican Yutong

Yutong E12 buses delivered to Nottingham City Transport
UK – Pelican Engineering Co Ltd, the official UK distributor of Yutong buses and coaches based in Castleford, has begun delivery of battery-electric buses to Nottingham City Transport, which will become the first electric buses to operate in Nottingham.
The first batch of 12 ‘E12’ buses were revealed in late January to attendees from stakeholders such as Nottingham City Council and electric charging firm Zenobē. David Astill, Managing Director of Nottingham City Transport, said that the operator’s drivers and engineers are currently undergoing a “comprehensive familiarisation programme” to get them accustomed to the new buses.
