UKViritech Ltd, an e-powertrain tech firm based in London, UK, has launched two electronic systems for managing fuel cell electric vehicles: a battery management system and a vehicle control system, targeted at OEMs and Tier-1s who are designing and assembling their own powertrains.

The ‘Battery Management Ecosystem’ is comprised of three parts. The first is a controller with integrated software for monitoring battery charge, health, energy, and power. It boasts high speed sampling (> 250 Hz) at up to 768 voltage and with 512 temperature inputs. The second is a unit which integrates at the module level within a battery pack, providing direct measurements of cell voltage and temperature to the controller. The third is a cell interface board, which integrates the module level unit with individual battery cells.
