Belgian transport operator orders 92 BYD electric buses

Belgium / NetherlandsBYD Europe BV, of Schiedam, Netherlands - the European subsidiary of Shenzhen, China-based BYD Auto Co Ltd - is set to supply 92 electric buses to the Flanders-based public transport operator, De Lijn. The EUR 42 million order consists of 92 standard 12-metre electric buses built in Komarom, Hungary, set to be delivered next year. The purchase is part of De Lijn’s plan to operate a zero-emission public transit fleet by 2035.
