Cuiabá city in centre-west Brazil testing Higer’s Azure A12BR e-bus

Brazil – Another city in Brazil, this time a city with hot temperatures of up to 41 deg. C, Cuiabá of Mato Grosso State, has begun testing China’s Higer electric 12m low floor bus, the Azure A12BR e-bus. Supplied by Higer Bus Co Ltd of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China via its local representative, TEVX Motors Group Ltd of São Paulo, SP, the trials follow use of the bus at COP 28 in Dubai, UAE, and prior to that conclusion of real time operational tests in the city of Curitiba, Paraná.

The vehicle is to now operate in the city of Cuiabá, the centre-west region of Brazil for 30 days on different routes and will be evaluated by several operators, Caribus, Integração, Rápido Cuiabá and VPAR in the city and state. All the drivers and operators involved have received training, focusing on optimized and intelligent driving to maximize vehicle performance, said TEVX Motors, with the regenerative braking system increasing autonomy by up to 30%, improving vehicle availability and reducing cost of the operation.
