Van Hool to slash workforce by 1,100 jobs over next three years

Van Hool company headquarters in Koningshooikt, Belgium

Belgium – Between now and 2027, Van Hool NV will dramatically reduce its workforce by approximately 1,100 jobs, as part of an effort to save the company from insolvency.

The job cuts will affect the company headquarters in Koningshooikt, Antwerp, where the production of buses and coaches will be gradually wound down. The Koningshooikt site will continue to produce vehicles for the ‘Industrial Vehicles’ segment, including semi-trailers, tankers, and container chassis. Moreover, it will retain its research and development and aftersales departments for the bus and coach division.
