National Express the first UK operator to trial Yutong’s 14-metre electric coach

UK / China – Pelican Engineering Co Ltd of Castleford, UK has announced that Mobico Group will be the first British scheduled coach operator to trial the ‘GTe14’, a battery electric coach manufactured by China’s Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co Ltd (“Yutong”).
Mobico’s ‘National Express’ coach service will test the coach during a four-week trial period, when it will operate on a route between Stansted Airport and London. Pelican says that not only should the electric coach provide customers with a “smoother, quieter ride,” but it will also offer more seating and luggage space due to its larger size.
