Sweden / DenmarkVolvo Trucks Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden has announced a follow-up order for 100 battery electric trucks from international shipping company DFDS A/S of Copenhagen, Denmark, bringing its electric fleet to a total of 225 trucks.

The order is a mix of the latest ‘FH’ and ‘FM’ electric models, which boast updated and more energy efficient drivelines than the models already in the DFDS fleet. These will be deployed in nine European countries, including the UK, Ireland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Some of the trucks will even be used to transport goods to and from Volvo’s truck assembly plant in Sweden.
