Fuso celebrates 60 years of manufacturing in Portugal

Portugal / Japan – Earlier this month, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation* (“Fuso”) (a Daimler Truck subsidiary) of Kawasaki, Japan, celebrated 60 years of manufacturing at its Portuguese manufacturing facility in Tramagal, Located around 150km north-east of Lisbon, the Tramagal plant produces the Canter and its electric sibling the eCanter. The facility is the third largest automobile manufacturing centre in Portugal and has produced 11,800 trucks to date, shipped to 33 European markets and Morocco. This site has contributed significantly to the growth of the Fuso brand outside of Japan.

*June 2023 saw Daimler and Toyota announce plans to merge its subsidiaries Fuso and Hino.
