HVS prototype vehicle completes first trailer pull

Hydrogen Vehicle Systems truck trailer

UK – Glasgow-based start-up manufacturer, Hydrogen Vehicle Systems Ltd (HVS), completed a trailer pull at the UTAC Millbrook test track with its second hydrogen-powered (HFC) medium-duty test vehicle, the X2.0. The tractor unit was powered by green hydrogen with the aim of demonstrating its real-world capabilities with each testing phase concentrating on specific aspects of the vehicle design and performance (electric and thermal) in various weather conditions. The data gathered will be used to refine the vehicle in terms of calibration and optimisation. Ultimately, this is another step in bringing this product to market, the company said.
