Wrightbus sets its sights on European market leadership with expansion of workforce and production

UK – By the end of next year, Wrightbus Ltd of Ballymena, UK aims to expand its workforce to 2,000 employees and reach 1,700 in deliveries of electric buses, according to a press release published this month.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of the Northern Irish bus manufacturer, said that there are over 700 battery and fuel cell electric buses with the Wrightbus badge on the road, more than triple the number (200) this time last year. In the next year, Gales claimed, the number will reach 1,700.
