Toyota to produce electric pickup trucks in Thailand from 2025

Thailand / Japan - Toyota Motor Corporation, headquartered in Toyota City in Japan’s Aichi prefecture, announced plans to start mass production of a battery-powered version of the Hilux pickup truck in Thailand in 2025.

The announcement comes days after its main Thai rival, Isuzu Motors Ltd, also announced plans to begin production of a battery-powered version of its D-Max pickup truck with exports to Europe scheduled to begin in 2025.
