Dafo launches new fluorine-free EVO fire suppression product

Fluorine-free Forrex EVO fire suppression agent from Dafo

Sweden – Earlier this year, Dafo Vehicle Fire Protection AB of Tyresö, Sweden, launched its new fluorine-free Forrex EVO fire suppression agent. This product is in line with the new UN and the European Chemical Agency (ECA) 2025 regulations to reduce fluorine content in foam suppression, due to its harmful environmental effect. Product development took 12 months, balancing the environmental benefit (not using fluorine) with an effective high penetration and fast cooling fire suppression product. The suppression agent acts by creating a resistant foam blanket on top of the catalyst fuelling the fire, with the cooling agent acting rapidly to extinguish the fire. This new suppression agent will be rolled out across its entire fire suppression product line in both the highway and off-highway (mining) segments.
