UK – Irish frozen logistics company, McCulla Transport (Ireland) Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Glasgow-based start-up vehicle manufacturer, Hydrogen Vehicle Systems Ltd (HVS), to trial its Hydrogen Fuel Cell trucks in late 2025 at three of its facilities in Lisburn, Dublin and Mallusk. This is a part of McCulla’s wider sustainability goals to reach net-zero carbon by 2050. After the trials, McCulla plans to assess the performance and TCO of the vehicles to explore the potential of integrating some vehicles into its fleet. HVS claims that its trucks will be available to the market in 2025.
