UK – Truck and trailer curtain manufacturer, Sapphire Curtains Ltd*, a subsidiary of trailer builder, Don-Bur Bodies & Trailers Ltd, based in Stoke-on Trent, has invested GBP 700,000 in a new automated curtain strapping machine for producing max height curtains. The company said the investment offers improved efficiency and vastly increased throughput with the machine able to produce 32 pairs of curtains per day. Renovations of the facility were required to accommodate the new machinery, including raising the ceiling and installing new ducting to manage the extra heat.
