Indian army takes first six Eicher electric coach for staff transportation operations

Handover of six Eicher e-buses for staff transport to the Indian army.

India – Following the launch of the 9m e-staff bus in Q1 of 2023, commercial vehicle manufacturer, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur has supplied the Indian Army with six Eicher Skyline PRO E 9M Staff AC electric coaches. These deliveries align with the Indian Army's initiative to adopt eco-friendly and sustainable transportation methods for staff and troop movement.

Eicher Skyline PRO E 9M Staff AC electric coach (12.8t gvw) is powered with a 235kW PSMS electric motor and is fitted with a 204kwh battery pack. The chassis is 9m in length and is fitted with air suspension front and rear.
