Milence opens truck charging park at Port of Antwerp

Opening of new truck charging park at the Port of Antwerp

Belgium – Joint venture Milence BV of Amsterdam, Netherlands has opened another charging park for heavy-duty trucks, which it claims is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, at the Port of Antwerp in Belgium.

Milence says the hub is the first it has built so far featuring its signature charging bay design (see the picture below). Located at Vrachtwagenparking Ketenis, the hub has ten combined charging system (CCS) chargers which can be plugged into twenty trucks at once, delivering 400 kW of power to each vehicle. The parking area is fenced and secured with access control, has camera surveillance, and has sanitary facilities, Wi-Fi, and vending machines for the drivers.
