Fuso launches eCanter in Taiwan

Fuso eCanter in Taiwan

Japan / China / Taiwan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), headquartered in Kawasaki City in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, officially launched its all-electric eCanter light truck in Taiwan in early June, making it the sixth market in Southeast Asia for the zero-emissions truck since it was first unveiled in 2017.

The truck is to be imported by MFTBC’s local distributor, Daimler Truck Asia Taiwan Ltd, based in Taipei, and will help diversify the brand’s local product range in a market in which it has had a strong presence for over six decades. The eCanter is to be available in several of variants between 5.0 and 8.55 tons gvw, all fitted with safety equipment including Active Brake Assist 5, Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) as standard.
