Mitsubishi-Fuso begins eCanter sales in Indonesia

Indonesia / Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), headquartered in Kawasaki City in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, launched sales of its eCanter battery-powered light-duty truck in Indonesia in July, with the first model handed over to its customer PT Yusen Logistics Indonesia at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
The eCanter was first unveiled in Indonesia at last year’s GIIAS by the company’s local distribution partner, PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) and extensive local trials have taken place since then ahead of local sales, involving around a dozen large local firms. The Indonesian eCanter has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of six tons, a wheelbase of 3.4 meters and is powered by an M-sized battery with a capacity of 83kWh.
