Singapore – Global tyre manufacturer, Giti Tire Pte. Ltd of Singapore, has launched its new generation trailer tyre for severe Heavy Duty (HD) regional applications (the Giti GTR956 HD Combi Road). Designed for heavy loads in rough terrains, the trailer tyre is initially available in size 385/65R22.5, with 265/70R19.5 planned for Q4 2024.

Giti emphasised robustness in the design as the new tyre's performance has been achieved through enhancing the tyre profile, advanced belt construction and a newly developed tread compound. Additional benefits are said to be a rolling resistance improvement and better wet braking, both of which result in a three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol marked to indicate excellent winter and all-season traction and braking properties. Its design and developments in manufacturing are also said to increase its re-treadability properties. Designed by Giti’s European R&D Centre in Hanover, Germany they are manufactured at the main production facility in Jakarta, Indonesia.
