Yuchai opens engine plant in Thailand

Thailand / China - Chinese engine manufacturer, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Ltd, headquartered in the city of Yulin, opened its first overseas manufacturing facility in Thailand in August as the company stepped up its global expansion.

The plant is managed by the company’s local subsidiary, Yuchai Power System (Thailand) Co Ltd, based in Samut Prakan just outside the Thai capital Bangkok. The facility has an initial production capacity of 5,000 engines per year mainly for markets in South-east Asia, but this is expected to be increased significantly later - in line with demand
