DAF reaches the milestone of 40,000 trucks produced in Brazil

DAF Brasil produces 40,000th truck at Ponta Grossa plant in Brazil

Brazil – August saw DAF Caminhões Brasil Ltda celebrate production of its 40,000th truck at its headquarters in Ponta Grossa (PR) in Brazil, 11 years after manufacturing started in 2013: The milestone model was an XF 6x2 tractor unit, with a load capacity of up to 74 tons and will be part of the Theo Transportes fleet used in the transportation of liquid, chemicals and refrigerated goods.

The XF 530hp 6x2 is equipped with a Super Space cabin and Comfort finish, equipped with air suspension. It is fitted with a Paccar MX-13 6 cylinder, 12.9 litre, 530hp / 2,600 Nm (Proconve P8 / Euro 6 compliant) engine with common-rail injection system and engine brake of 490hp @ 2,100 rpm with three power stages. This is matched with the ZF TraXon transmission with 12 forward speeds + 2 reverse gears, automated / Direct Drive.
