Marcopolo reports strong revenue growth from exports and businesses abroad in 2023

Brazil – High end bus and coach body builder, Marcopolo SA of Caxias do Sul, in announcing it had won recently Brazil’s ADVB/RS Export Award it highlighted its growth in exports in 2023.

Last year, exports (from Brazil) and business abroad together represented BRA 2.66 billion (USD 480 million), an increase on BRA2.289bn in 2022, when exports totalled BRA1.018bn (USD190m) and businesses abroad totalled BRA1,271m (USD225m). Unit sales improved in major export countries: sales in Mexico totalled 981 vehicles, up 44.9% compared with 2022; Australia (407, up 24.1%) and South Africa (362, up 35.1). Marcopolo stated that its international operations abroad delivered 2,262 units, a volume increase of 9.6% than in 2022 and generating BRA1.83bn, an increase of 50.5% compared with the same period of the previous year.
