Portuguese battery manufacturer AddVolt celebrates 10-year anniversary at the IAA

Germany / Portugal – At the IAA Transportation event (September 17-22) in Hanover, Porto-based vehicle battery pack manufacturer AddVolt, celebrated its 10-year anniversary and showcased its electrification solutions. It highlighted the AddVolt Powerpack, an energy system that enables the electrification of refrigerated transport vehicles which is capable of eliminating diesel use and reducing noise, making it ideal for operating in low-emission zones. Their Powerpack allows trucks and trailers to run auxiliary systems, like refrigeration units, on electric power, contributing to quieter, more eco-friendly logistics. The system can be integrated into existing vehicles without major modifications.
The company also emphasised the adaptability of their battery technology for hybrid, hydrogen, and fully electric vehicles, showcasing its broader contributions to sustainable transport solutions. The company’s presence at IAA 2024 reinforced its focus on powering greener, more autonomous operations while providing real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance for fleet efficiency.
