VWCO launches new Constellation 20.480 56 ton tractor truck in Brazil
Brazil - Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO) of Resende, Rio de Janeiro, is launching the Constellation 20.480 4x2 tractor unit in the Brazilian market for transporting up to 56 tons gcvw.
The model is positioned in the heavy-duty intermediate segment, expanding the brand’s offering among the 4x2 options and features the 13-litre D26 engine, 480hp and 2,400Nm of torque, the most powerful in the category. Combining strength and economy, it also features the 12-speed V-Tronic automated transmission with high-level on-board electronics, offering a choice of driving modes and predictive technology for gear changes, aiming at greater operational efficiency and consumption. It is also equipped with a 428-horsepower auxiliary engine brake to ensure even greater performance. The four-pocket full air suspension also adds convenience and comfort for the driver, in addition to improving cargo security.
