Toyota launches new Hilux Rangga in Indonesia

Toyota Hilux Rangga pick-up for Indonesia

Indonesia / Japan – October saw Toyota Motor Corporation of Toyota City in Japan’s Aichi prefecture launch the new single-cab Hilux Rangga entry-level pickup truck in Indonesia, with the aim of expanding the popularity of its Hilux pickup range within the Indonesia’s small business sector and among private buyers.

The Hilux Rangga, first unveiled at last year’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, is based on the same IMV* platform as exiting Hilux pickup trucks but has a radical new body design. It offers a 1.2-ton payload and comes with two engine options, the 2.0L 1TR-FE petrol unit and the 2.4L 2GD-FTV diesel unit.
