Wrightbus launches new Cummins engine option with double-deck range

The StreetDeck Ultroliner by Wrightbus

UKWrightbus Ltd of Ballymena, UK has launched a new generation of diesel double deckers, fitted with the latest engines and transmissions from suppliers Cummins and Voith.

The ‘StreetDeck Ultroliner’, which was originally launched in 2014, will now be offered with a Cummins ‘B6.7’ engine, replacing the six-cylinder Daimler ‘OM936’ which was used before. (Wrightbus says the four-cylinder Daimler ‘OM934’ option is still available.) As for the automatic gearbox, Wrightbus is using Voith’s ‘DIWA.8 NXT’ 7-speed transmission.
