Dongfeng begins LCV assembly in Morocco

Morocco / China – October saw producer of light-duty trucks, Dongfeng Automobile Co Ltd, headquartered in Xiangyang in China’s Hubei province, start assembly of knocked-down (KD) light-duty trucks in Morocco.

The move comes shortly after the company signed a single order for 500 light trucks with a local logistics company in the country. Dongfeng has partnered with a local automotive group, understood to be Casablanca-based Tractafric Motors Maroc, for local assembly, with the two companies now also discussing opportunities to expand sales into other markets in the region.
