FAW Jiefang to build truck plant in Uzbekistan

FAW Jiefang’s heavy-duty truck models

Uzbekistan / China - Chinese truck-maker FAW Jiefang Automotive Company Ltd, headquartered in Changchun, Jilin province, plans to invest USD100 million to build a truck assembly plant in Uzbekistan, according to reports from China.

The Chinese state-owned company plans to construct the facility in the city of Andijan, in partnership with local companies, UzAuto Trailer and Vodiy Universal Majmua. The plant is to have an initial capacity to produce 10,000 trucks per year, with construction scheduled to begin in the Andijan Free Economic Zone before the end of 2024.
