British chemicals company Anaphite raises capital to expand dry-coating technology for EV batteries

Joe Stevenson, CEO of Anaphite

UK – A UK, Bristol-based chemistry company Anaphite Ltd, has successfully raised USD 13.7 million in Series A funding to expand its dry-coating technology for EV battery electrodes, which aims to reduce manufacturing costs (by up to 40%) and energy consumption (by 30%), helping to make EV production more efficient and sustainable. The company uses a proprietary "precursor powder" in its dry-coating process, enabling high-speed and high-performance electrode production while minimising carbon emissions during manufacturing.

The funding was co-led by European venture firms World Fund and Maniv. The funds will be used to scale up operations by building a new production plant to produce the company's patented composite cathode material. The funding will also support R&D investment as well as new staff hires.
