Škoda Transportation to deliver up to 70 vehicles as Tallinn revives its trolleybus routes

Czech Republic / EstoniaŠkoda Transportation a.s. of Plzeň, Czech Republic has won a tender to supply up to 70 trolleybuses of varying lengths to the Estonian capital of Tallinn, which plans to revive and modernise its former trolleybus routes.

According to the terms of the contract, Škoda will supply 22 ‘33Tr’ 18-metre trolleybuses and 18 ‘32Tr’ 12-metre trolleybuses. Aktsiaselts Tallinna Linnatransport, the municipal operator serving the city of Tallinn, has the option of ordering thirty more trolleybuses. Škoda says the value of the contract, including comprehensive service and maintenance up to 400,000 kilometres, exceeds EUR50m.
