FAW Jiefang, CATL strengthen collaboration in NEV segment

Jiefang, CATL strengthen NECV partnership
China - The world’s leading electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Company Ltd (CATL), headquartered in Ningde in China’s Fujian Province, signed an agreement with Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer, FAW Jiefang Group Co Ltd, to strengthen their technology and business collaboration in the new energy commercial vehicle (NECV) segment.
FAW Jiefang, the Changchun-based subsidiary of Chinese state-owned automaker FAW Group, is looking to step up the electrification of its commercial vehicle range. The two companies signed an agreement earlier this month with the aim of establishing a broad-based partnership in the NECV segment, covering new product development and the introduction of new business solutions and models.
