Wrightbus enters midibus and medium-duty truck segments with new brand, ‘Rightech’

New Wrightbus range under the 'Rightech' brand
UK / China – Wrightbus Ltd of Ballymena, UK has launched a new brand which will distribute battery electric medium-duty trucks and midibuses derived from two unnamed manufacturers from China.
The brand, called ‘Rightech’, has a strategic framework agreement with two Chinese manufacturers to distribute and service four vehicle models, two of which are trucks. One of the 7.5-tonne trucks is for right-hand drive markets (i.e., Britain and Ireland) whereas the other truck is for left-hand drive markets (i.e., continental Europe). This marks Wrightbus’ first step into the truck segment in its 79-year history.
