UK – Glasgow-based start-up manufacturer Hydrogen Vehicle Systems Ltd (HVS) announced that it has recently secured an investment from Qatari AI company Excelledia Ventures, to accelerate the development of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles. While the exact financial details of this investment have not been publicly disclosed, it is part of HVS's ongoing efforts to attract outside investment after the company announced last year it was desperately seeking Series B funding as it slimmed down operations of its attribute prototype (AP) build. Furthermore, HVS now features on JP Jenkins, the UK’s oldest private share trading marketplace, giving international investors an opportunity to trade its shares.
In addition to this recent investment, HVS has previously received significant financial support, including a GBP 30 million investment from the EG Group and GBP 25 million in UK government grant funding.
